Lynwood Country Club Wastewater System Upgrade

Garden Master was commissioned to redesign and improve the wastewater treatment facility at the scenic Lynwood Country Club Golf Course

Lynwood Country Club is located in Pitt Town, one of the five historic towns founded by Governor Macquarie in 1810, approximately 50 km northwest of Sydney. The golf club derives its name from the historic Lynwood House, a colonial-style residence constructed around 1814 on the golf course grounds.

Spanning 230 acres, the 18-hole golf course, completed in 2010, winds through natural eco-sensitive wetlands. Its links-style layout stretches over 6400 metres with a par of 72, featuring couch grass fairways that incorporate the landscape’s natural contours, wetlands, and rough areas. Lynwood Country Club is more than just a golf venue; it offers various dining, entertainment, and event facilities, including the Country Kitchen, Main and Sports Bars, Golf Simulator (The Green Room) and event function rooms. Garden Master was tasked with the challenge of an old septic system struggling to cope with the increased demand from the club’s facilities, prompting an urgent upgrade, which saw the transformation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant into a modern activated sludge/extended aeration wastewater treatment facility

The septic system renovation was executed swiftly and effectively, resulting in a high-performing wastewater system that operates smoothly and without issues.

Advanced Membrane Bio-Reactor Installation Wye River

Advanced Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) Wastewater System Installation Wye River

Wye River, nestled between Apollo Bay and Lorne in Victoria, is a quaint village known for its breathtaking coastal scenery where the river merges with the sea. Not far behind in appeal is the local General Store.

Wye River General Store

Enjoying a leisurely late breakfast at the General Store is a delightfully relaxed experience amidst the lively atmosphere of the only early-morning cafe in this stretch of the coast. Known as “The Wye General,” it’s a favourite stop along the Great Ocean Road.

The Wye General Store seamlessly combines the convenience of a local shop with the excellence of a gourmet deli and a top-notch greengrocer, all in one place. When faced with the challenge of a failing septic system due to the store’s popularity, Garden Master was entrusted with designing and upgrading the existing wastewater treatment plant. The upgrade involved installing a cutting-edge Advanced Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) system capable of producing Class A Plus water, ensuring the facility could meet the high visitor demand.

Wye River General Store
This new septic system started operating effectively right away, providing reliable, trouble-free service. Class A water represents the highest standard of recycled water. It is safe for direct human contact and suitable for various uses, including irrigation of raw food crops, household purposes, and firefighting. It adheres to strict guidelines by EPA Victoria and the Department of Health Victoria.

Situated along the pristine Great Ocean Road, Wye River’s environmental integrity made Garden Master’s eco-friendly wastewater solution a perfect match. The advanced MBR technology ensures the treated wastewater meets Class A plus standards, reflecting the community’s commitment to sustainability.

Wastewater System Installation at Arhnem Land Barramundi Lodge

Alongside Wastewater Australiaour team at Garden Master fitted a cutting-edge wastewater treatment plant for OutbackSpirit Tours, at the Arnhem Land Barramundi Lodge.

The lodge is one of the Territory’s premier lodges for Barramundi fishing, enjoying an incredible location along an escarpment approximately 18 km out of Maningrida.

Maningrida, also known as Manayingkarírra and Manawukan, is an Aboriginal community in the heart of the Arnhem Land region of Australia’s Northern Territory. Maningrida is 500 km east of Darwin, and 300 km northeast of Jabiru.

Arnhem Land

Arnhem Land Barramundi Lodge has been completely redeveloped with the guest accommodation each being refurbished with complete luxury furnishings, an ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, a front deck and of course our state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant.

The lodge offers unique fishing licences, allowing access to some of Arnhem Land’s most pristine and remote waterways. After you’ve partaken in fantastic recreational fishing, the in-house chef will prepare freshly caught Barramundi for you. The restaurant features a large deck and boasts sensational views, the perfect spot for a magical sunset over the Tomkinson River floodplains.

Due to the Eco-sensitive nature of the location, the treatment plant had to be capable of producing a consistently high-quality effluent with nutrient removal capabilities. Reliability was another factor in the design.  The treatment plant was designed to minimise power usage as the resort runs on a combination of solar power and an on-site generator. Along with the main treatment plant, 3 individual pump stations were installed around the site.

Arnhem LandThe Arnhem Land Barramundi Lodge is available solely for fishing during the months of March & April, and October & November each year.  This is due to the water temperatures increase and the barramundi being at their most active. For the months of May through to September, the lodge is exclusively used to accommodate tours operated by Outback Spirit. The abundance of culture, breathtaking landscapes and of course prime recreational fishing, makes the lodge truly one of a kind.

Ngauwudu Safari Camp Septic System Service

Our operations manager Mark Versteegen and service technician Warren had the pleasure of servicing our treatment plant at the Ngauwudu Safari Camp located in the Mitchell Plateau region of the Kimberley.

Ran by Outback Spirit Tours,  the Ngauwudu Safari Camp is one of the most eco-friendly facilities in the Kimberley. This region is one of the most captivating places in northern Australia, being home to some of the most spectacular waterfalls, rock art galleries and scenery in the world.

The Safari Camp is extremely diverse, being home to stunning natural features and a distinctive array of plants and animals. Due to the eco-sensitive nature of the location, Outback Spirit Tours invested in a Garden Master environmentally friendly wastewater system. This included having designed and fitted a class-leading effluent treatment plant by ours truly.

Ngauwudu Safari Camp

Ngauwudu Safari Camp is the most luxurious accommodation on the Mitchell Plateau and within easy reach of all its natural wonders.

When designing the system our team had to take into consideration the sensitive nature of the location, ensuring the wastewater treatment plant was capable of producing a consistently high-quality effluent with nutrient removal capabilities. The treatment plant was designed to minimise power usage as the resort runs on a combination of solar power and an on-site generator. Along with the main treatment plant 3 individual pumps stations were installed around the site. The luxurious $4 million camp is just as breathtaking as its surroundings, featuring 14 spacious Safari Suites and leading facilities. Both Mark and Waz were treated exceptionally during their stay, and were lucky enough to enjoy some of the region’s beautiful natural wonders!

Closed-Loop Wastewater Recycling System Installation In Alaska

In 2018 Garden Master and our partners Wastewater Australia were shortlisted as one of three possible companies by the Alaskan government to remedy serious water access problems in the northern US state of Alaska, which had been leading to a range of health issues.

A lack of access to fresh water had spurred the government into looking at ways to install closed-loop water recycling systems in homes so water from showers, washing machines and other uses can be cleaned and used over and over again.

We are proud to say Wastewater Australia and Garden Master were selected for the international project, with the proven technology of the ultraGTS grey water recycling plant being shipped to Alaska!

Alaska’s Unique Climate

Alaska is the largest and most sparsely populated U.S. state. It’s known for its diverse terrain of open spaces, mountains and forests, with abundant wildlife and many small towns. With bears larger than bison, national parks the size of nations, and glaciers bigger than other US states. Alaska is definitely an epic place!  Alaska is one of the coldest places on earth, with record lows of -62 degrees Celsius! This brings unique challenges to the Alaskan government and community, particularly in relation to water in the winter months.

In extreme conditions, the two companies brought together a mix of unparalleled knowledge and with the undeniable performance of the ultraGTS, the Alaskan government have seen tremendous results.

Our team at Garden Master and Wastewater Australia take part in major wastewater projects all across Australia and around the world. Each project is unique, bringing forth different challenges arising from ranging climates. From the searing heat in Darwin during summer to freezing in Alaska, each wastewater system is tailored specifically to fit the needs of our clients. Our experts work hard to develop systems taking into consideration all our client’s needs, whether that be surrounding capacity or weather.

Our fit-for-purpose approach is not limited to major scale projects, we ensure every installation is tailored to our client’s needs, including your backyard. Stay tuned for new upcoming projects!
